A woman asked me yesterday, “If I learn Cantonese from you, will I be speaking like a guy?” Luckily for the most part, Cantonese is a relatively gender-neutral language, minus a few sentence final particles (archived here). This woman talks like she’s one of those heroines from those martial arts novels!”)
